With the spirit of a traveling troubadour and the voice of a Countryfied Billie Holiday, Melissa Carper becomes the “Ramblin’ Soul” sitting at the peak of the weekly Top Ten for Wednesday October 12, 2022. The tune is the title track to the upcoming (11-18-22) release from Melissa Carper, and joins Strung Like a Horse with a new single, “You Can’t Change Me” and the Larkin Poe sisters with “Strike Gold” from their upcoming (11-11-22) release Blood Harmony. Victoria, British Columbia-based Jesse Roper relocated to Brooklyn to record his recent release Horizons with Gus Van Go (Metric, The Stills), making the chart with “Cool Whip” while LA duo Joselyn & Don offer gothic Americana with “Give Up the Ghost” from their Seeds & Bones EP. The Panhandlers deliver the title track to their new EP West Texas is the Best Texas as PI Jacobs has some California love with her home state anthem “Weed N Wine”. Americana from the Austrian Alps comes from Prinz Grizzley with his new single “I Keep on Searching” and Taylor Kingman (TK & The Hold Know-Nothings) goes dark for his solo debut, the upcoming (11-18-22) release Hollow Sound. Mike Ward has a message on his new EP, Troubled Times, using his voice to champion those that raise their own voices against oppression, rounding out the chart with “Wishing Well” on the weekly Top Ten for Wednesday October 12, 2022.
