New Jersey native Antony D’Amato heeded the call of the west, relocating to American Fork, Utah for autumn/winter sessions with songwriter/producer Joshua James to record At First There Was Nothing (due 10-21-22). With his first album release in seven years, Anthony D’Amato sits on top of the chart with “Long Haul” for the weekly Top Ten, Wednesday September 28, 2022. San Francisco Bay Area Soul machine, The California Honeydrops, offer some sweet sounds to remind just how good love can be with “In Your Arms” from their upcoming (10-07-22) release Soft Spot while Halley Neal finds the good in life as she ponders how one decision can change your course in “Somebody Else’s Daughter” from her upcoming (09-30-22) Beautiful & Blue release. Southwest desert soundscapers Calexico offer “Rambler”, a cut inspired by travels through Pacific Northwest states Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington where the band’s Joey Burns ‘kept seeing ghosts looking for someone to sing their stories’. The track can be found on Calexico’s recent release El Mirador while Asheville, North Carolina’s Town Mountain have an upcoming (10-07-22) release, Lines in the Levee, on the list as “Comeback Kid” and Alex Williams takes “No Reservations” as he serves up outlaw grit on a cut from his upcoming (10-21-22) release, Waging Peace. Boston-born, Germany-based Maryanna Devlin suggests a “Cut and Run” offense on a cut from her debut (due 09-30-22), A Great Many Things as Northern Vermont’s Maple Run Band shed “Tears of a Fool” as the first single from their upcoming (11-18-22) Used to Be the Next Big Thing. Recorded live on the floor in Heaven, a converted barn-turned-studio, Golden Feather offer “You’ve Been on My Mind” to the memory of a childhood friend while Music City native Gabe Lee is The Hometown Kid on his upcoming (10-28-22) album and “Rusty” on the weekly Top Ten for Wednesday September 28, 2022.
