When relocating to Los Angeles, Liz Brasher decided to record her upcoming (04-26-24) Baby Damn album in her new hometown. She set up at Sunset Sound and backed with A-list players made a record pre-pandemic, and on the weekly Top Ten for Wednesday January 31, 2024 sits in the peak position with “Room to Ride”. Driftwood return to the chart with “Every Which Way But Loose” from their upcoming (03-22-24) release, December Last Call, alongside Jesse Dayton discussing his “Night Brain” on a Shooter Jennings-produced single and Sarah Shook and the Disarmers with the title track to their upcoming (03-29-24) release Revelations. Previous Marcus King releases have featured soaring guitar riffs though on his new, Rick Rubin-produced single, “Fuck My Life Up Again” Marcus channels the lush strings and soulful smooth tones of classic 1970’s era Soul. Starting off a trio of travelogue tunes, Ted Russell Kamp is the “California Son” in the title track to his upcoming (03-22-24) release while Eric Brace and Thomm Jutz sing of the “Slow Motion” ride from east to west with a cut from their upcoming (02-16-24) release Debut. Kitchen Dwellers close out the theme section of the chart with “The Raven and The Crow (III)” from their upcoming (03-01-24) release Seven Devils. Lance Cowan taps into everything good in the classic Country sound with “This Heart of Mine” from his upcoming (02-23-24) So Far So Good release as Edinburgh duo Edy Forey cover Nat King Cole with “Nature Boy” from their upcoming Culture Today (due April 2024) on the weekly Top Ten for Wednesday January 31, 2024.
