Adding to his credits as songwriter and producer for his eight studio albums, Todd Mack can proudly add activist to his credits. Halting a release schedule that began in 1989, the recent Todd Mack album, I’m Gonna Love You No Matter What, is his first release since 2011. His work with Music in Common, an organization that promotes commonality in community by using the universal language of music, kept him busy. Todd continued to write songs. He takes a stance with “On a Line”, gently picking out notes that lay a path into “Dreams” as I’m Gonna Love You No Matter What welcomes Sadie Jasper in for a duet vocal on “No More”.
 
A gentle hush of piano notes fall like snow as they coax the rhythm for “Ain’t Enough”. A story of a life lived in love is as strong as the current of rhythms that rip a family apart in “River Carry Me”. The pounding of drums heralds a tale of searching for “The Light Within” as Todd Mack spits out lyrics on the persistent groove that propels “Undone” while I’m Gonna Love You More stomps out a beat for “Reckless”, delivering the message in “If I” with hushed melodies before closing the door on the album with closing cut “You Are There”.
