An ambient sound rises up to greet the persistent groove in “Adaption” while “No Time to Rush” matches its musical opening, the sounds creating clouds of emotion before hushing as Maya DeVitry tells its story with breathy notes. 
 
Relocating to Nashville from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Maya DeVitry deftly includes touches of Folk, Soul, Country, and Americana into a musical blender to create the soundtrack backing her personal observations about love, life, and the blending of both states in the human condition.  A solid groove begins immediately and travels with a consistent motion underneath “Cold Lake, Good Snacks” as chord strums encourage the feet of the “Traveler”. An accounting of self is told in the tale pouring from “Confidence of the Sun” as Maya DeVitry sings of a Lower Broadway recurring theme with “Bachelorette Lessons” and quiets the finger-picked guitar notes to a whisper to float underneath “Coin in Your Soul” before exiting All My Faith with advice for “No Time to Rush”.
