While a new crop of tunes are collected for the upcoming (07-25-25) Rick Rubin-produced Snipe Hunter, the new album from A-list storyteller Tyler Childers includes a few fan favorites that have, up until now, not made it into his recordings. One of the tracks that has only been heard at concerts is “Oneida”, and the cut lands in the #1 spot for the weekly Top Ten for Wednesday July 9, 2025. Charley Crockett prepares for the upcoming (08-08-25) Dollar A Day, the second installment of his opus, The Sagebrush Trilogy. Produced by Shooter Jennings, Charley feels particularly good about the recording process, sharing that ‘with Shooter, I’ve never felt more like myself in the studio, I don’t feel judged. At all. It’s truly a partnership. Hell, I’d say he’s my best friend, and you can’t aspire to greatness without that kind of trust. With Lonesome Drifter, it felt like we opened the portal. With Dollar A Day, we stepped through and came out the other side’. SoCal songstress Sara Petite needs an extension on her mantle for the multiple San Diego music organization nods for Best Country or Americana Album of the Year as well as Best Artist awards. She returns with a new single, “Jealous Heart” joining Dropkick Murphys as they fire a Celtic Punk salvo in “Who’ll Stand with Us”, the politically-charged ditty from the band’s recently released For the People. Mark Campbell & The Ravens deliver “Sleep on My Own” from their self-titled release due in 2025 as Anna Tivel sings an “Animal Poem”, the title track from her upcoming (08-29-25) release. Shelby Means sees a blurry highway ahead from the leaving-Nashville tears packed in her luggage for “Suitcase Blues” while Mississippi MacDonald provides an acoustic take on “Slim Pickin’” and Ben Gage wraps the tale of “Ghost” in eerie, dream-like, melodies. Kier Byrne & The Kettle Burners offer a cover of Sturgill Simpson’s Sci-Fi spiritual blender “Turtles All the Way Down” on the weekly Top Ten for Wednesday July 9, 2025.
