A stunning 35 years is what Leftover Salmon are celebrating on their upcoming (05-09-25) release, Let’s Party About It and the band spin “Big Wheel” into the peak spot on the weekly Top Ten for Wednesday April 16, 2025. Sidestepping Lamb of God, the band he founded, Mark Morton has a solo release, Without the Pain, featuring Roots music A-listers, including Cody Jinks, Grace Bowers, Jamey Johnston, Charlie Starr (Blackberry Smoke), and Jason Isbell. On this week’s Top Ten, Mark Morton is joined by Nikki Lane on “Down No More” while Suzanne Vega is readying her first album release of new songs in over a decade with the upcoming (05-02-25) Flying with Angels, and making the chart in her role as “Chambermaid”. Station South recruited Dana Fuchs for the Death Valley road-trip recounting in the single “Badwater” while The SteelDrivers offer a tale of vengeance in “The River Knows” from their upcoming (05-23-25) release Outrun, Stephen Simmons sings of “Chasing Headlights” and Marvin Scondo ponders “If Life Was a Boxer”. New singles from Stillhouse Junkies with “Lord Have Mercy” and The Tumblers “Starlight” make this week’s list.
