Heartbreak and redemption are the subjects The Vegabonds tackle as the Alabama-based band land in the peak position with a DIY guide for self-medicating grief, “Till the Hurt Don’t Hurt”, on the weekly Top Ten for Wednesday April 2, 2025. The track is from their upcoming (06-20-25) release, Young & Unafraid, and sits alongside new music from Jugband forefather, 84-year-old Jim Kweskin. Georgia 1980’s Indie band Guadalcanal Diary, Murray Attaway, reveals an upcoming (05-09-25) album, Tense Music Plays with the single “Breath”. The Shootouts, joined by Lindsay Lou, ride a “Trampoline” with a cut from their upcoming (05-20-25) album of Rustbelt Americana, Switchback, as Jolie Laide sing of “Holly” from their upcoming (04-30-25) release Creaturesand Michelle Raybourn becomes “Wildfire Woman” on a single from her recent E.P. release, Natural Disasters. Adams Chaffins has an upcoming Ep, Trailer Trash (due 05-16-25), laying claim on the chart with the anthem “Living ‘til My Dying Day” while Golden Shoals offer an instrumental exit to this week’s chart with “Blackberry Blossom” on the weekly Top Ten for Wednesday April 2, 2025.
