On his upcoming (04-04-25) release, Why the Worry, Seth Walker offers original tracks plus covers, landing in the #1 spot on weekly Top Ten for Wednesday February 12, 2025 with “Up on the Mountain”. An event caused the song to come into being, with Seth Walker sharing that ‘a few summers back, I moved to Fairview, North Carolina, just outside of Asheville, up on a clearing that looks out over the big Blue Ridge. This place is quiet. Just birds going about their business, the leaves in the breeze, a few distant dogs barking, and the voices in my head. I channeled this feeling of finding myself up on this mountain at ease in my spirit away from the incessant chatter and noise that everyday life has a way of pummeling you with. A peaceful place and a joyful sound. Musically, I pulled inspiration from that old Southern Roots and Rock vibe of The Band, Leon Russell and J.J. Cale’. Sierra Hull partners with Tim O’Brien for “Come Out of My Blues”, the first track release from her upcoming (03-07-25) release A Tip Toe High Wire while Charles Wesley Godwin details small joys in “It’s the Little Things” from his upcoming (02-28-25) release, Lonely Mountain Town. Wyman & The wolves offer a new single with “Throwing Shade” as Patterson Barrett covers World Party with “Ship of Fools”. Rees Shad proudly mixes music with politics on “Ain’t That the Way” from his upcoming (03-28-25) release, Porcelain Angel while Eric Hagen uses The Blues to point fingers in “Accuse Me”. Adam Chaffins offers the title track from his upcoming (05-18-25) E.P. Trailer Trash as Strange New World deliver “Escape”, the title track to their recent release. Toronto-based Rock’n’Roll band Propter Hawk claim “Time Won’t Wait” on the weekly Top Ten for Wednesday February 12, 2025.
