The custom-made title track was penned by Johnny Paycheck and Aubrey Mayhew. Charley Crockett wears the skin of the song for Lil L.G. Presents: Jukebox Charley, his recent release, and continues his Lil L.G. Presents series, following the 2021 release, Lil’ G.L. Presents: 10 For Slim - Charley Crockett Sings James Hand and Music City USA. Charley Crocket weighs in for his “Battle with the Bottle”, rides a clip-clop horse hoof beat to the graveyard in “Six Feet Under”, sways side-to-side as he follows a well-worn path “Between My House and Town”, whistles a freewheeling intro for “Where Have All the Honest People Gone”, and walks a scattered beat vowing “I Feel for You”.
 
Charley Crockett is the consummate long tall Country crooner. His nonchalance at adopting the role of ‘real deal’ adds to his charisma as his vocal delivery seals the deal. Jukebox Charley spins “Out of Control” as it relates a sad drinking story and provides lush strings and piano patter to soften the realities of “Home Motel”. Charley Crockett delivers hard strums as he walks confidently into the shaky confessions in “Heartbreak Affair”, opening the collection vowing “Make Way for a Better Man”, laying his mood low living the realities of “Same Old Situation”, picking up the pace for the story of a farming family found in “I Hope It Rains at My Funeral”, and spreads the tale of “Diamond Joe”.
