The Mystix Artist profile
Americana Music The Mystix
The Mystix are fronted by gritty vocalist and songwriter Jo Lilly from Boston's legendary Duke and the Drivers. Their inspired original material, combined with their unique interpretations of the music of rural America, is showcased on the brilliant new album "Down to the Shore." The "...regional roots supergroup" as the Boston Phoenix tagged them, feature a veteran lineup of some of the country's top players including guitarist Bobby Keyes (Mary J. Blige, Jerry Lee Lewis), drummer Marty Richards (Gary Burton, J. Geils Band), bassist Marty Ballou (John Hammond, Edgar Winter, Duke Robillard) and keyboardist Tom West (Susan Tedeschi, Peter Wolf). The Chicago Sun Times called The Mystix "...a steaming musical gumbo of funky new Orlean's style R&B." The Boston Herald...they called The Mystix "...the greatest swamp rock band you never heard." We call it one rocking journey through the history of American roots music.

Here's a really cool Publicity Trailer for The Mystix last album 'Blue Morning'
