The Alternate Root, formerly the ADC Media Guide began publishing in February of 2007. We started the magazine as an outlet for indpendent roots, alt-country, Americana musicians that couldn't gain access to the major magazines for needed recognition. Since then our profile has grown and today The Alternate Root reaches an audience of nearly 40,000 monthly readers and more reading every day. Today we are publishing the Americana Music Association Airplay chart and have an interactive section with live performances and interviews. Our video section and Alternate Root TV feed bring video interactivity to the website. More to come in 2010.
