Roger Salloom Returns...

Riding high after the successful La Te Da (Florence 2008), Roger Salloom has returned with another collection of poignant, life infused songs that touch on everything from infidelity to mortality. As he did on La Te Da (feat: Eilen Jewell, Grayson Capps, Charles Neville), Last Call finds Roger teaming up with a group of established vocalists including Bekka Bramlett and Kathy Chiavola and the brilliant instrumentalist Charles Neville to create another set of radio ready Americana / AAA classics.

The Northampton, MA based singer / songwriter, once a ‘coffee-house’ folk contemporary of Bob Dylan and Pete Seeger, is writing some of the best music of a career that has spanned four decades. A career, that incidentally, has been documented in the award winning film “So Glad I Made It, The Saga of Roger Salloom, Americas Best Unknown Songwriter,” by the acclaimed filmmaker Chris Sauter. …..once you start really tuning into the lyrics, a deeper story is revealed… an almost existential perspective on life; "The best thing I do is nothing, and I'm doing that the best I can," he observes on that song, somehow making it sound like the wisest life choice imaginable, and that little magic trick is just where Salloom's true gift seems to lie.                            All Music, J. Allen

…. captivating, great storytelling … warm, pleasant, upbeat, honest, melancholy, wry, road-weary, familiar, and unique..... heartfelt songs. Listen to it and you'll wonder where he's been all your life.
