The Alternate Root Americana Roots Music MagazineFull Moon Revue Artist Profile Interview

Americana Music Full Moon Revue

Spanning four decades, the members of the Full Moon Revue have been wowing audiences from the icy tip of Maine to the Gulf of Mexico with their vibrant, lively and exciting performances.Their first album,"S'Bout Time,"was released to great industry and listener acclaim. NOW, their second CD, `ONE LAST SHOT' is out and finds the band sounding better than ever.Featuring 13, well-crafted, ORIGINAL songs from a band of gifted songwriters are out for your enjoyment and listening pleasure.

The string attack of Full Moon Revue is led by Texas singer/songwriter, J. Matthew Larson. Larson has spent the past few years working stages alongside artists such as Rory Block, Hugh Moffat, and Pendragon just to name a few. Larson's multi-instrumentalism and incisive, creative songs make him a must-see on his own...yet with Full Moon Revue, his warmth and wit shine like never before.

Lead vocalist and songwriter E.B Fay has appeared with the New Riders of the Purple Sage and with Larson at the joint US/Canada International Festival in Calais, Maine. Solo,he has played with George Gritzbach, Jonathan Edwards, Bill Morrisey and Jamie Brockett. His vocals add to a potent presentation by this seasoned group. In other musical configurations, the witty and engaging Fay has opened for the Pousette-Dart Band, The Stompers and the late Dan Seals and is now writing some of his best material that the band is making shine. Drummer Mal Shaw has been playing and recording in the New England music scene for the past four decades. His unique drumming style and knowledge of music is a perfect blend with the FMR sound. Bassist Bob Doolittle is the consummate musician. Owner of Crossroads Music in Hanover, MA, Bob has made time in a very busy life to bring his warmth, personality and wealth of talent to the band.

Jeffrey Bryant brings years of musical knowledge and stylings to the band. The lure of playing some of his songs with Fay, his long-time friend, and the sound of FMR, proved to be irresistable. His playing is the aural complement to the FMR experience. John Finnerty is a seasoned rocker who brings years of touring, songwriting and producing to the band. John spent a number of years with the Aerosmith tribute band, "Draw the Line," before joining FMR in 2004.
