Since leaving the Philadelphia area in the mid-90s to set up shop in Music City, Americana Singer/Songwriter Mark Wehner has been a busy man. After releasing two global CDs (“All Those Friends of Mine”, and “That’s The Way That It Goes”), Wehner launched Americana Tonight, a weekly showcase series in Nashville that saw big stars and emerging artists from the genre ply their trade to an appreciative audience. The series quickly became a “must-play” for Americana artists and ran for over three years. But the lure of making music was too strong and Wehner began work on his latest, “Wait … I Wasn’t Finished,” officially set for release in late January 2010. Aptly named, the disc has compiled some previously released material and given them a new slant, added the brand new creation “(You Better Run) As Fast As You Can,” and includes a rocking cover of Arlo Guthrie’s classic “Coming Into Los Angeles.”
As the disc was recorded over a period of years, the players credits are quite impressive and include the late Vassar Clements, vocal phenom Perry Coleman, multi-instrumentalist Fats Kaplin, keyboardist Michael Webb and many others.
