Born in Loveland, Colorado, Vi Wickam proudly wears the moniker, and the crown, of Vi the Fiddler, and he displays his talents on The Thanksgiving Album, the recent release from Vi Wickam. The tone and textures of “Another Fine Day for Thanksgiving” begin the song cycle on the album on the strains of a sea shanty, complete with sea-born strums and a pipe whistle. Peppered throughout the entire recording is the fiddle playing of Vi Wickam as he leads the celebration with bright melodies and stories that encourage us to embrace the true meaning of the holiday.
