The duality of the Everything’s Fine album title is a term that has been bouncing around Sam Lewis’ mind. It is a phrase that attracts him, and he states that ‘maybe everything’s fine — maybe it’s not. Maybe it’s fine in the macro sense, but not at all in the micro. I’m definitely guilty of calling things ‘fine’ when they’re not. That tension feels like the most honest reflection of the world I’m living in right now’. That opinion is the muse for Everything’s Fine, the 7th studio album release for the Nashville, Tennessee-based songman. The production on the album brings a sonic calm with vintage tones and textures; Folk-based tunes that expand with the use of sonic accents. Ragged picking is the constant for “Chase the Moon” as Sam Lewis touches the melody with ambient sounds mixed with the slightest hint of Country textures that drift like a gentle sea breeze.
Circulating notes twinkle as a background for the two voices that tell the tale of “The Light” as the guitar strings paint melancholy for the questions of the heart that stich the story in “I’ll Never Be Enough for You”.
 
Putting into words the thoughts that course through his head, Sam Lewis offers “I Know” as he takes listeners for a ride on “Three County Highway” and plaintively describes his current emotional state in “Nothing Could Tera Us Apart”. Everything’s Fine asks questions in its title track and drifts into the past for “Old Love” as Sam Lewis puts a vintage backbeat underneath the echoey rhythms of “Making It Up” and keeps the beat in similar soundscapes for “Mu Life Living Me”. The unique artwork for the album is entitled Petwear, a pencil drawing by artist Rusty Warwick, was the perfect image for Everything’s Fine, with Sam Lewis suggesting that ‘the image feels like transformation and clarity arriving slowly.
