A full confession is the muse for the story in “Ain’t No Way”. Rose’s Pawn Shop introduces the “Escape Artist”, form a framework for “Going Out in the Wild” with sparkling string notes, and follow determined guitar strums out to “Where the Horizon Has a Light”. A soundtrack of hard-edged Cosmic Country and a vintage backbeat are the calling cards for Rose’s Pawn Shop when they deliver their recent release, American Seams. Based in Los Angeles, California, Rose’s Pawn Shop have spent two decades curating a West Coast Americana. American Seams feel the change in seasons with “The Summer Over” as the band forcefully build sharp-angled beats around “Darken My Door” and tenderly pose the question “What If We Run”. A scratchy fiddle leads the way into the album when it put the American Seams title track into the lead spot to begin the song cycle as they exit the album on the gentle breeze sway of “Autumn Eyes”.
