The sound rises up as the beat kicks for “Cosmic Appalachian Radio” when Olivia Wolf uses the cut to open her recent release, Silver Rounds. Like its sibling songs on the recording, Olivia Wolf speaks her truths in words and music. The call of coyotes are replaced by picked banjo notes when Olivia Wolf embraces “The Wild” over rolling rhythms while she tells the tale of the “Lucky One” over a persistent trudge, chopping up the groove on segmented notes and chords for “Good Smoke Too”. The Silver Rounds title track drifts on a dreamscape melody as it slowly unravels the story of a scorned woman. Oliva Wolf is behind the wheel for the songs on the album, confidently driving each the raw emotion of her vocal.
 
Growing up in Northern California, Olivia Wolf relocated to Virginia before setting up a base in Tennessee. For her debut, she chose personal experiences as the muse for the music on Silver Rounds. As she questions her own existence, the words create a universal mirror for her fellow humans, providing a map through troubling times with her own stories. Making a request of ‘dance me into the twilight’, “The Veil” pulls back the curtain on a breaking heart as Olivia Wolf relates the tale of “Weed King” and celebrates the “High Life” over the rhythm of guitar strums and plucked string notes. (by Danny McCloskey)
