Stepping into the centerstage spotlight after tenure as a co-front woman for two notable acts, KP Hawthorn collects songs from her past for a solo outing, Til the Glitter End. Most recently, she partnered with husband Johnny Hawthorn as The HawtThorns for a series of album releases. The duo came into being after KP’s long run with Calico the Band. A center-point of SoCal Cosmic Country, her move to East Nashville has tempered the songs of her past with an Americana fire. Til the Glitter Endrevisits, re-imagines, and reignites the music of KP Hawthorn. 
The majority of the songs on Till the Glitter End were written with her Calico bandmates, Manda Mosher, Jaime Wyatt, and Ted Russell Kamp. KP Hawthorn opens the album as the first track mines “Fool’s Gold”, a co-write with album co-producer, Steve Berns. She tenderly tells the tale of “The Runaway Cowgirl (Ballad of Ginger and Danny)”, becoming a modern-day legend from the Old West in “The Lone Ranger”, and feeling the rumble come from the California hills with “San Andreas Shake”. Taking the “High Road”, KP Hawthorn travels with Rosie Flores on the tune as she whispers “Bless Your Heart” over a rattle of rhythm, exiting Til the Glitter End borrowing a Led Zeppelin love song to the Golden State with “Going to California”.
