Thriving on stage for years, live audiences have been the sole beneficiaries of the magical musical collaboration of JP Soars and Anne Harris. They entered the studio with the intention of recreating the live performance experience; the excitement, intuitive artistry, and fine-tuned immersion into the music the duo perform. The result, tracked live in the recording studio, is Gypsy Blue Revue. The album marks the recording debut of JP Soars and Anne Harris.
 
A true understanding of the partnership can be heard when JP Soars and Anne Harris encourage listeners to “Go with the Flow”, offering a vehicle for the ride in the playful interactions of guitar and violin nurtured within the music. “Viper” slithers on a seductive groove that exposes the duality of its lead seductress. The music for the track showcases the story alongside the urging of Anne’s airy violin riffs with the electric guitar pokes and prods from JP’s six-string. “Paradise” is found buried in the interplay of the two instrumentalist that guide the recording 
 
The slow unraveling of guitar picking weaves a mystical rhythm into the tale that unfolds with the same slowly percolating presence within the groove of “Goin’ to South Carolina”. Anne Harris’ violin announces a “May Mountain Waltz” and JP Soars picks out a mountain jam over the revolving rhythms of “Old Silver Bridge”. Gypsy Blues Revue borders its song collection with an opening track that follows a snaking swamp groove introducing “Jessie Mae”, exiting the album as JP Soars and Anne Harris rise up on the concerted opening salvo of “Cigar Box Jam” before playing tag with their individual artistry over a pastiche of memorable riffs to usher a cinematic exit from Gypsy Blue Revue.
