In addition to his role as Singer/Songwriter on his recent release, Low Country Wedding, Atlanta, Georgia-based songman Jefferson Ross adds to his creative resume working as a painter and photographer. A DIY guide for life is contained in the words of wisdom that cruise over the rattling rhythms of “Used to Being Me”. An ‘absinthe buzz’ follows a man “Walking Around New Orleans” as “Gideon” tells his tale. A soft rhythmic sway is the map through Greenwood, Mississippi on “Money Road” and Jefferson Ross sings the trials and tribulations of a man living with “Red State Blues”. Jefferson Ross is a storyteller, utilizing the space of a song to stage one-act plays; here and gone in approximately three minutes. A toe-tapping beat hears the promises made in “The Travis Style” as Low Country Wedding listens to the discusses a low-bar lifestyle for “Stuck in a College Town” and sings a song of praise addressed to “Jimmy Carter”. A marching stride follows the family that crushes outside opinions when smalltown Sparta, South Carolina that plays a diverse Southern host to “United Nations” while Jefferson Ross relates the words of Uncle Ernie in “Too Many Guitars”.
