There is a light at the top of the chart this week as Melissa Etheridge strikes a flame with “Matches’. The story makes a request for a baby outlaw when she sings ‘I was only eight years old when he rode into town riding on a black horse six string with the sun going down. I said Mama let me play with the matches’. The new single from Melissa Etheridge kicks off the last list of the year for the Top Ten on Wednesday December 17, 2025. Marc Broussard has an upcoming (02-06-26) collection of sonic tributes with S.O.S.V: Songs of the 50’s, making the chart this week with “Stagger Lee”. Powerhouse string band quartet Della Mae return with a new, upcoming (01-23-26) album, offering the title track to this week’s group of songs with “Magic Accident”. Montreal songman Jesse Creatchman delivers Folk Blues in “Fairytale Blues” as The Infamous Stringdusters make plans for “Dancing on the Moon” with a cut from the upcoming (02-13-26) album 20/20.
