The life of a working musician can be difficult for family connections. Having a strong community that shares those troubles as well as the many other successes and pitfalls that come with a life in music is a key ingredient to feeling satisfied. That is the topic of “Simple Side of Me” when Nicki Bluhm shares the feel-good single, expressing her gratitude for her Nashville brothers and sisters in music. The track is from her upcoming (10-03-25) release, Rancho Deluxe, and it sits way up at the peak for the weekly Top Ten for Wednesday August 13, 2025. Steep Canyon Rangers have a new single, “Next Act”, that sings out empowerment on a global level as Marc Broussard covers Ray Charles “Hallelujah, I Love Her So” with a cut from his upcoming S.O.S.5: Songs of the 50’s which is due this coming fall. Remi Goode is preparing to release her debut album, Things I’ve Said Before (due 09-26-25), and makes the chart with “Might Not Be True” joined by Margo Price who offers “Losing Streak” from her upcoming (09-26-25) release, Neon Grey Midnight Green. Hi Desert songman Brad Bryd has a new single, “If It’s Only My Life”, Cody Jinks nods to this legion of fans with “The Others”, and Jubal Lee Young sings of “Squirrels”, the title track to his upcoming (08-15-25) release. Sweet Dee and Wild Honey claim “You Were the One” and Matt Woodman delivers “As Good as Me” on the weekly Top Ten for Wednesday August 13, 2025.
