Bands take many different paths in their formation. Sometimes it’s a group of friends, or perhaps a player can find like-minded partners in an existing band. For Ryan Bingham, the process was more organic. He recalled that ‘after years of being out on my own and playing shows on and off with The Texas Gentlemen, I realized somewhere along the way I was part of a band again without really planning it. “Ballad of The Texas Gentlemen” really came out of that moment’. His upcoming (05-15-26) release, They Call Us the Lucky Ones, find the Grammy/Oscar winning musician backed by The Texas Gentlemen as the full band find their way into a song (that sits in the #1 spot) with “Ballad of the Texas Gentlemen”. The tune begins the song cycle for the Top Ten on Wednesday February 18, 2026 joining Old 97s with “Terlingua”, a B-side recording from their Graveyard Whistlingsessions. Namechecking his upcoming (03-27-26) release Electric Swamp Funkin’ Blues, Bluesman Selwyn Birchwood offers an advance listen to the release with “The Church of the Electric Swamp Funkin’ Blues” while Garrett Boys welcome Steve Earle in for “Back Home”, a track from their upcoming (02-27-26) release, It Runs Deep. Pert Near Sandstone are searching for a little good luck with “Shooting Star”, a cut from their upcoming (02-27-26) album, Side by Side, San Francisco-based The Reds, Pinks and Purples are the guides for a “Heaven of Love”, from their upcoming (04-24-26) Acknowledge Kindness release. Gavin Marengi delivers his recent single, “Breathing Years” and Brother & The Hayes give a shout out with “Oh Glory”. Brown Horse release “Sorrow Reigns” from their upcoming (04-10-26) album Total Dive while The Brook and the Bluff barrel down the highway with the speedometer hitting “105” on a track from their upcoming (03-06-26) album.
